Lessons Learned from the Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attacks in Brussels Presentation Michael Little will share detailed information he received from Brussels Fire Brigade command staff regarding the March 22, 2016 complex coordinated terrorist attacks in Brussels, which targeted the Brussels Airport in Zaventem and the Maalbeek Metro Station in Belgium. Those attacks, for which the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility, caused 32 deaths, not including the three perpetrators, hundreds of injuries, and resulted in severe impacts to international transportation in Europe and beyond. Michael Little will discuss lessons learned and present thought-provoking perspectives regarding the evolving state of international terrorism and what it means to the Homeland.
