Please join COG's Local Food Distribution Work Group, part of the Regional Food Systems Program, for its last meeting of 2018. Meeting objectives include: - Getting an update on the status of the 2018 Farm Bill, including "stranded" programs important to local and regional food system development in our communities.
- Hearing from regional USDA Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) and Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) recipients on their recent awards, plans, needs, and how we can support their success. (These are the last, multi-year LFPP and FMPP awards that our region will receive until/if they are reauthorized in the next Farm Bill.
- Reconnecting and sharing an update on the proposed 2019 Local Food Distribution Work Group schedule for feedback.
- Networking.
